WAYNESVILLE, Mo. (AP and KMOV.com) --Two new charges were filed in the beating death of an 82-year-old Pulaski County man.
Shawn Green and Thomas York both face 2nd degree murder charges in the death of Robert Willhite of Swedeborg. Police said they then stole rifles from his home.
A tip about those stolen guns led police to a large gun bust at a Waynesville auto yard earlier this week.
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office says deputies found roughly 400 guns at a business being searched as part of a homicide investigation.
Deputies say they inspected Hilltop Motors in Waynesville on Friday because of the death of Willhite.
Authorities say they found 350 to 400 firearms with at least 40 of them confirmed to be stolen or illegally modified. They said stolen property and a large amount of money were also secured and will be examined as evidence of other possible crimes.
Police said 49-year-old Richard E. Jensen of Waynesville was arrested at the scene for Unlawful Possession of Firearms. A second individual was arrested at the scene but was released the following morning. Jensen is being held at Pulaski County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
