FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- Four drivers were arrested following Friday's accident that killed 15-year-old Donnie Tipton as he waited for his school bus.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says 23-year-old Ethan Humphries was driving one of four cars traveling too fast on Missouri 30, one mile east of the Meramec River. The car then struck and killed Tipton before overturning and coming to a stop.
On Monday, News 4 learned Humphries and three others were arrested in connection to that accident. Three of the drivers are facing DWI and manslaughter allegations. Another was arrested for manslaughter.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says all four drivers got off work at 3:00 a.m. and started drinking. When they decided to go home around 7:00 a.m., troopers said all four were speeding and driving recklessly.
Humphries is the only person facing charges Monday.
