WENTZVILLE, Mo. (KMOV) – A man is accused of robbing a good Samaritan from Wentzville who bought him a meal and brought him to the hospital to help get an injury treated, then stealing a car from his ex-girlfriend.

Joshua Frillman, 25, was charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle.

According to police, a man told officers he offered Frillman - who he did not know – a ride to the hospital on Sunday after noticing he had an injured hand.

The man told police he gave Frillman a ride to a local hospital, where Frillman was treated and released. The man then bought Frillman a meal and drove him to a house he was supposed to be staying at. That’s when Frillman pulled a knife on him and demanded money.

The victim told police he gave Frillman an unknown amount of currency and Frillman ran from the area.

The next day, police said Frillman used a spare key to steal his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle from her work.

Police said an officer located Frillman on Tuesday and recovered the vehicle.

He was taken into custody, where he remains on a $50,000 cash-only bond.
