JENNINGS, Mo (KMOV.com) – A 24-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death in Jennings Wednesday afternoon.
Phillip Huffman was charged Thursday with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.
St. Louis County officers said 23-year-old victim was at her home in the 8800 block of Maya Lane around 3 p.m. when the incident happened.
Her boyfriend was taken into custody later Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, the victim’s 8-day-old baby was at home at the time of the stabbing. It was not known if the child was related to the suspect.
The knife used in the stabbing was recovered at the scene.
Huffman remains in custody on a $1 million dollar charge.
