Man arrested, other at large after attempted break-in at Shiloh home

SHILOH, Ill. (KMOV.com) – One suspect has been arrested after police say he and another man tried breaking into a Shiloh home.
According to a press release, on Monday, an officer from the Shiloh Police Department responded to a home in the 600 block of Plankway Court to investigate reports of two men trying to break into the front door of a residence.
Before the officer arrived, officials said the two suspects discovered that the home owner was still home and fled the scene. The home owner managed to get a glimpse of the suspects and was able to provide police with descriptions.
When officers arrived in the area, they saw a man who fit the description the home owner provided. That suspect was taken into custody and later identified as Deravion D. Allmon of the the 600 block of Ganim Drive in Belleville, Illinois.
Allmon has been charged with attempted residential burglary, which is a class two felony. His bond has been set at $40,000 and is being held in the St. Clair County Jail.
