(KMOV.com) – The Metropolitan Sewer District were working to repair a sewer main break that occurred in Chesterfield.
MSD said the break occurred just west of the intersection of West Drive and North Drive around 3 p.m. Monday.
According to MSD, sewage from the break is not leaking into a waterway and is not a threat to public health or safety.
As a precaution, MSD is urging people not to touch or make contact with the ground near the leak.
Officials said repairs should be complete Tuesday or Wednesday.
