Chronic exposer accused of showing genitals at Florissant business

Posted: Updated:

( – A man faces charges for allegedly exposing himself twice at a Florissant business in January.

Clarence Jones, 58, was charged with misdemeanor sexual misconduct.

Jones is accused of exposing himself twice at an Olde Time Pottery store in the Grandview Plaza in January.

"The victim said that she was looking at fabric. While she was looking at fabric, he exposed his genitals once, and then put them back, and then did it a second time," Andy Haarman with the Florissant police said.

Police said Jones ran into a nearby Schnucks store, where police caught him after receiving a description from shoppers.

According to authorities, Jones has committed lewd acts in Maryland Heights, Hazelwood, and unincorporated St. Louis County.

“He's got some sort of chronic problem that needs to be taken care of and hopefully they mandate that he gets some sort of treatment for that,” Haarman said.

Police told News 4 a similar incident occurred at the same Olde Time Pottery location in 2013.
