(KMOV.com)  - The Roberts Tower in Downtown St. Louis is getting a new life.

The tower was built in 2007, but sat unfinished for years. The company behind the project recently announced the building will open May 1. It will house 128 luxury apartments.

"We don't really have a product like that on the market today, so we think it'll bring a lot of new people to look at downtown,” Doug Woodruff with the Partnership from St. Louis said.

Rent for a one bedroom unit starts at $1,200 per month.
