(KMOV.com) – Two Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville students face charges in connection with the kidnapping and robbery of a fellow student earlier this month.

Jabreel Watson,18, of Chicago, and Shantel Rogers, 20, of Decatur, were charged Wednesday with robbery, burglary and aggravated kidnapping. SIU-E officials say both are students.

According to authorities, Watson, Rogers and a third suspect approached another student who was walking in the Prairie Hall parking lot around 11:30 p.m. on April 2.

The student told police the suspects blindfolded him and drove him around for two hours before coming to an ATM in the 400 block of University Drive.

Once at the ATM, the suspects ordered the victim at gunpoint to withdraw all the money from his account.

After the victim complied, all three suspects fled in a silver or white Pontiac. The victim was later recovered on Lewis Drive in Edwardsville.

Police say an investigation led them to Watson and Rogers. The third suspect remains at large.
