(KMOV) – Police are on the scene investigating a report of bank robbery at a north St. Louis City bank branch Tuesday.
According to authorities, a suspect entered the PNC Bank on North Grand and Carter Avenues around 1 p.m. and passed a note to the teller announcing a robbery.
The suspect indictated he had a weapon although no weapon was actually displayed.
The suspect was later described by police as a black male in his 40s with medium build, short hair and wearinga dark skull cap.
He fled the scene on foot and was last seeing running toward West Florissant.
Further details about the incident were not immediately known.
