ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A Washington University faculty member was hit by a campus shuttle bus while riding her bicycle Monday evening.
The collision occurred about 5:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Forsyth Boulevard and Tolman Way. University police say the unidentified cyclist was riding east on the sidewalk along Forsyth when she was struck by a Call-A-Ride bus in a crosswalk near the Mallinckrodt Center.
The professor was taken to Barnes-Jewish hospital to treat injuries to her lower extremities. Her condition was not immediately available on Tuesday.
A university spokeswoman says the incident remains under investigation.
