ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- An Uplands Park man was charged Friday with four counts of second-degree assault on a law enforcement officer, one count of receiving stolen property, one count of resisting arrest and one count of unlawful use of a weapon.
Zaher Jaber, 22, of the 6300 block of Glenmore Avenue, is accused of pointing a loaded gun at four St. Louis County police officers on Thursday, threatening to kill them. Police managed to seize the gun and arrest Jaber.
The incident happened at Jaber's home. According to the probable cause statement, police were called to the house when a neighbor reported Jaber was pointing a gun and cursing while school children were present. When officers approached Jaber, he allegedly pointed the gun and threatened to kill them.
Once the gun was seized and officers attempted to place Jaber under arrest, he allegedly kicked and again threatened to kill them.
The gun was a .40 caliber Glock 22 loaded with 14 bullets and one live round in the chamber.
Jaber is being held on a $75,000 cash-only bond.
