HIGHLAND, Ill. (KMOV.com) -- An Illinois State Trooper discovered 155 pounds of cannabis during a routine traffic stop Monday while patrolling I-70 east of Highland.
The driver, Isiadra Jasso, 41, of El Paso TX, has been charged with felony possession of cannabis, cannabis trafficking and was cited for improper lane usage.
The trooper initially pulled over a black Chrysler for improper lane usage, but asked Jasso permission to search the car after noticing that the she seemed to be extremely nervous and unsure of her exact destination, police said in a news release.
Jasso then gave the trooper verbal consent to search the vehicle, which resulted in the discovery of two large duffel bags and a plastic trash bag full of approximately 155 pounds of cannabis.
Jasso was transported to the Madison County jail and is being held on a $200,000 bond.
