ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – A unique push is taking place in St. Louis to train local minority candidates for good jobs in the painting industry.
In the wake of the unrest in Ferguson, Mayor Francis Slay is teaming up with a non-profit and a union to teach and train potential hires.
The program includes a rigorous 14 week training course which includes instruction and unpaid training. People who show up every day and complete the certification will receive help securing a job and launching their painting career.
