ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Officers from 23 different municipalities and departments on both sides of the river will come together on Tuesday for an event sponsored by Child Safety Day.
A slew of topics will be discussed at the meeting, including the events that led to Michael Brown’s death and racial bias. However, the emphasis will be on police and their interaction with youth. Child Safety Day organizers also plan to spend a lot of time discussing social media, specifically the impact of it on worldwide protests.
Tuesday’s training will take place in O’Fallon, Missouri.
An online workshop will be held on Thursday with more than 70 different groups from across the country registered to attend.
