EAST ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A tow truck in East St. Louis was lit on fire to destroy evidence after it was stolen, police said.

According to the manager at “Hartman’s Auto Center,” one of the drivers for the company was knocked out and carjacked late Saturday night by three men.

Not only was the $80,000 truck set on fire, but a wooden pallet storage facility also caught on fire.

The investigation is ongoing.
