ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- The St. Louis Public School District is looking for energetic, motivated and certified principals and teachers in all subject areas pre-school through 12th grade. A job fair will be held for interested applicants with interviews taking place on site at the Clyde C. Miller Career Academy High School at 1000 North Grand on Saturday.

The job fair begins at 8 a.m. and runs through 5 p.m.

To become a SLPS teacher, candidates will need a bachelor's degree or higher and Missouri certification or proof of eligibility for certification. Applicants attending the job fair are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resume, certification and/or Praxis scores.

"The key to a great education for our students is to have great teachers in the classroom and great principals guiding their efforts.  Saint Louis Public Schools is proactively and aggressively seeking the best and brightest teachers and principals to join us for the 2015/2016 school year.  We will conduct interviews onsite at the job fair and extend offers to those candidates who demonstrate they are the best of the best," said Dr. Edmond Heatley, Chief Human Resources Officer for Saint Louis Public Schools.

Pre-Registration for the Job Fair is required and can be done online by visiting jobs.slps.org.  For more information regarding the Fair and/or teaching positions, please contact the Saint Louis Public School District's Human Resources Division at (314) 345-2295.
