(KMOV) – A surveillance video showed a Florida 911 dispatcher on her cell phone during a call for a man who was having a heart attack.
She was training another dispatcher who took the call and ended up sending the paramedics to the wrong address. It took more than ten minutes for the paramedics to arrive and by that time it was too late.
“She was very remorseful about what happened, very caring about it. Admitted to what her mistake was,” said Sheriff Ben Johnson of Volusia County, Florida.
The heart attack victim died and the dispatcher was reprimanded for her actions but did not lose her job.
