(KMOV)-- A teen has been charged in the beating death of a Woodson Terrace teen.

Keith Meiners, 19, was charged with First Degree Murder.

Authorities said that witnesses allegedly saw Meiners beating 19-year-old J.J. Willman. Meiners allegedly admitted to witnesses that he caused the death of Willman. Meiners was arrested Monday afternoon.

Willman went missing around Thanksgiving last year after attending a party in North County. His body was recovered earlier this month in the Missouri Bottom Conservation area.

Police said Meiners knew Willman because both teens dated the same girl.

"They did know each other, they had a common girlfriend. They didn't date at the same time. She was an old girlfriend of J.J.'s or a current girlfriend of Mr. Meiners," said Woodson Terrace Police Chief Bob Dowling.

Meiners is currently held in the St. Louis County Jail.

Police are still investigating whether anyone else was involved in the murder.
