ST JOSEPH, Mo. (AP) -- This is the ultimate inside job.
St. Joseph police say 49-year-old man was arrested after he got locked inside a storage unit he was trying to burglarize.
The caper began early Sunday, when a security employee at Mini-Warehouse in St. Joseph noticed a unit's door was slightly ajar. The employee shut and latched the door.
The security guard later heard a noise coming from inside the unit. It was the suspect trying to free himself, and police arrested him.
The St. Joseph News-Press reports that the man has not yet been charged, but is in custody on a probation/parole warrant.
