(KMOV)-- Police are searching for two suspects in a south city shooting that left a store clerk with gunshot wounds in the shoulder and back.

The 35-year-old victim was behind the counter when the two suspects entered the store at 4445 Morgan Ford Sunday afternoon.
The suspects left and returned a short time later around 3:30 p.m. One of them reportedly shot the clerk before both fled from the scene.
Police say the victim ran from the store and witnesses called 911. The victim was grazed in the ear and shot in the shoulder and back. He was taken to an area hospital but the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
Investigators say the suspects did not announce they were there to rob the store.
Both suspects are described as black males in their late teens. One was wearing a black jacket, the other was wearing a white sweater.
The investigation is ongoing.
