(KMOV)-- KMOV.com's Brian Feldman is in Jupiter, Florida covering the Cardinals and is posting
regular updates from spring training.

March 27, 2:51 p.m. - Talked to Allen Craig. Loves how he's played this spring. Knows the more he plays well the more he'll play. Not worried about what scenarios will lead to time though.

March 27, 1:23 p.m. - Lots of changes. Boggs pitching. Jay in left. Craig to 1st. Tommy Pham in right.

March 27, 1:18 p.m. - Looks like McClellan might be done. Motte is warming up in the 'pen.

March 27, 1:16 p.m. - Just realized McClellan has gone through 6 extremely uneventful
innings. If you hardly notice a pitcher that is one heck of a compliment. Just 1 run on 3 hits.

March 27, 1:08 p.m. - Rasmus K's again vs a lefty. Wonder if that's going to be a problem
again this season.

March 27, 1:07 p.m. - McClellan with a very lucky base hit as the ball hits a lip and
bounces over the first baseman's head. Hey...it's just his day I guess.

March 27, 1:03 p.m. - Descalso almost takes the head off Jon Niese. Literally.

March 27, 12:56 p.m. - Sitting with former NFL GM Ron Wolf in the press box at the game. The
man loves baseball...I'll tell you that. Loves breaking down prospects
and who's doing what. Very good man.

March 27, 12:49 p.m. - Craig now batting .333 this spring with 3 HRs. There is no way he gets
fewer than 250 ABs this year. Between Berkman's health and Craig's
bat...he'll get plenty of chances in RF. He'll force his way onto the
field if necessary.

March 27, 12:43 p.m. - Nothing is better than when you're planning on doing a story on
someone and he hits a home run for you. Thank you Allen Craig. That's
his 3rd bomb of the spring.

March 27, 12:38 p.m. - McClellan draws a walk at the plate. That's pretty good. He hasn't
exactly swung the bat all that much the last 3 years.

March 27, 12:32 p.m. - Nice play by Pujols at 1st base. He really is underrated over there.
So much gets made of his offense (and rightfully so) but his defense
doesn't get enough credit. Very, very good over there.

March 27, 12:26 p.m. - Watching Nick Stavinoha rip singles up the middle it makes it more and
more disappointing that he's not more versatile defensively. He's such
a nice hitter but there's just no room for him because he doesn't do
enough on defense.

March 27, 12:21 p.m. - Well...other than that HR by Hairston it's been nothing but ground
balls off McClellan. That's the way it should be. Needs to be a ground
ball machine this year.

March 27, 12:18 p.m. - Scott Hairston homers off McClellan in the 1st. Maybe it's just the
Mets. Maybe no one on the Cards can pitch against this team. It's unreal.

March 27, 12:08 p.m. - Kyle McClellan takes the mound sporting a 0.53 ERA. That's 2nd best in
Grapefruit League play...trailing only Roy Halladay.

March 27, 11:58 a.m. - Holliday out with a sore toe. That's per Brian Bartow of the
Cardinals. No clue which toe on which foot. Just a sore toe. Sounds
very precautionary to me. I bet he'd be playing if it were the regular
season.

March 27, 11:44 a.m. - Still trying to find out what happened to Holliday. In the meantime
Daryl Jones has been brought over from minor league camp for today's game. Jones is a former organizational player of the year who has fallen fast. Was outrighted off the 40 man roster and exposed in the Rule 5 draft. No one took him. So here he remains...

March 27, 11:37 a.m. - Matt Holliday not starting now...Nick Stavinoha now cleaning up in RF.
Allen Craig moves to left. No word yet on why Holliday was scratched.

March 27, 11:29 a.m. - The game Tuesday will be minor leaguers because they also have a game
in Springfield and that's where the big boys will be at. However...there is an 80% chance of rain in Springfield. That could change things. Very distinct possibility that Garcia will pitch here
due to weather. Other than that? Who knows? Game could end up being called.

March 27, 11:25 a.m. - Cardinals are 13-14-1 in Grapefruit League play. They've got today,
tomorrow and Tuesday (which will be a minor league game) to get back to .500 and beyond.

March 27, 9:34 a.m. - Brian Tallet throwing off a mound as we speak. He's recovering from a
groin injury.

March 27, 9:23 a.m. - As of now, Theriot is hitting lead off to start the season. Tony loves
how Skip is giving the lineup depth hitting later in the order.

March 27, 9:21 a.m. - Rasmus is leading off today simply because of the combination of who
is playing. He wants Craig to hit 2nd today. And no one else fits the lead off spot.

March 27, 9:19 a.m. - Miguel Batista is on the team. Comes down to Salas, Augenstein and
(technically) Sanchez for one spot.

March 27, 9:17 a.m. - Tony admits there is a wide range of possibilities for this team. Best
case they can be very good. Worst case they won't contend. His words.

March 27, 9:16 a.m. - Tony says Allen Craig has had an "outstanding" spring. He's better
prepared to come off the bench this year compared to last year.

March 27, 9:15 a.m. - Tony finally acknowledges that McClellan will be the 5th starter.
Thank goodness.
