Police searching for local credit union robbery suspect

(KMOV)-- Authorities are looking for a man who robbed the St. Louis Community Credit Union on Thursday around 4:30 p.m.

The bank is located on the 10000 block of West Florissant.

Authorities say the robber approached a bank employee and indicated that he had a weapon, but did not display one.

The robber demanded money from the employee and exited after receiving it.

The suspect is described as a as a black male, approximately 5'9" in height and weighing between 275 to 300 lbs. Authorities say he appeared to be between 25 to 30 years old, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and gray sweat pants.

No injuries were reported.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 866-371-TIPS. A reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to a felony arrest is being offered.
