(KMOV.com) -- Fire crews were called to the scene of a Metro-East house fire early Friday morning.
The fire started around 4 a.m. in a vacant house in the 2200 block of Edwards Street in Granite City, Illinois. A nearby resident reported the fire.
Neighbors said the house has been vacant for nearly a year, but they often see people staying in the house to keep warm.
No injuries were reported.
