Convicted felon accused of unlawful possession of ammunition

(KMOV) -- A Belleville, Ill. man is accused of Unlawful Possession of Firearm Ammunition by a Felon.

Brandon Ebmeyer, 21, allegedly had ammunition in his vehicle in which Belleville police found during a traffic stop.
According to authorities, the detective who found the ammunition in Ebmeyer’s vehicle asked for assistance in apprehending the suspect.
Ebmeyer was arrested at the scene and taken to police headquarters. Charges are still pending.
Unlawful Possession of Firearm Ammunition by a Felon is a class 3 felony.
Bail for Ebmeyer was set at $30,000.
