(KMOV) --- A Mexican national found working at a restaurant in Highland, Illinois has pleaded guilty to being in the United States illegally.
Miguel Hernandez-Reyes, 37, was one of five illegals found working for the owner of the Fiesta Brava and Don Ole restaurants.
Hernandez-Reyes pleaded guilty to illegal entry into the United States and misuse of a Social Security number.
He was sentenced to time served (94 days,) 1 year supervised release and a $210 special assessment. He could have faced a maximum of $255,000 in fines and 5 1/2 years in prison.
Hernandez-Reyes is in the the custody of the U.S. Marshal's Service. U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement will decide if he should be deported to Mexico.
