(KMOV)-- Hundreds of items have sat in Missouri’s vault in Jefferson City for years.
Workers will be cataloging each item Tuesday during an open house at the Harry S. Truman State Office in Jefferson City, allowing visitors to view the old property.
Missouri Treasurer Clint Zweifel heads up the program that allows Missouri residents to now claim their items.
Zweifel tells News 4 that one in ten Missourians has unclaimed property, the average claim equaling $350. The items include everything from life insurance policies to military medals.
