ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- Renovation to a vacant north St. Louis church will begin soon.
Construction crews are working to convert the Full Gospel Apostolic Church into a community center.
The church is located south of O'Fallon Park, and was purchased for $30,000.
Incarnate Ward Foundation paid half of the cost, while the other $15,000 raised to buy the building was generated from local donations.
Alderman Antonio French of the 21st Ward launched the effort, saying the new center will fill a void in the neighborhood.
