EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (KMOV) – An East St. Louis man pleaded guilty Thursday to charges of being a convicted felon in unlawful possession of a firearm.
Clint Tucker, 45, of East St. Louis, Ill. will face a maximum of 10 years in prison. He will also have to pay a $250,000 fine and serve a term of at least three years of supervised release.
Tucker is scheduled to be sentenced on July 1, 2011 in East. St. Louis.
According to authorities, members from the WAVE (Working Against Violent Elements) Task Force searched Tuckers home in July 2010 -- after obtaining proper permission -- and recovered a firearm from under a mattress.
In a voluntary statement, Tucker admitted to handling the gun, which is unlawful because he is a convicted felon.
