Damien Woods, of St. Louis, was charged with one count unlawful delivery controlled substance within 1000Ft of a park.  He was arrested after attempting to purchase heroin during an undercover operation in Granite City. (KMOV) – Granite City Police arrested three suspects who purchased heroin during an undercover operation on Tuesday.

The suspects fled from officers in the Lincoln Place Neighborhood and proceeded to Illinois Route 3 where they were taken into custody.

The Madison County States’ Attorney’s Office charged Demond Watkins, Dezmond Wilcox and Damien Woods with unlawful delivery of controlled substance. 

Watkins was also charged with two counts of fleeing from police officers.  

All three men are from St. Louis and  are being held on $100,000 bond.
