(KMOV) – Lambert International Airport is taking down the historic Lindbergh plane to start construction on the newest phase of their $70 million improvement program.
The renovations will include a brighter ceiling, new signs and ticket counters, new restrooms, and interactive art exhibits including a performance area called the “St. Louis Stage."
Airport officials are hoping the new renovations will attract more airlines and flights.
The first phase of the new renovations begins April 4th and should last through late next year.
