KMOV.com's Brian Feldman is in Jupiter, Florida covering the Cardinals and is posting regular updates from spring training.

Mar. 17, 3:41 p.m. - You know Gerald Laird, Jon Jay and Allen Craig will make the team.
Tyler Greene seems like a good bet too. Right now Carpenter is the only other logical choice other than Daniel Descalso.

Mar. 17, 3:39 p.m. - Cards option Adron Chambers and Bryan Anderson to AAA...and reassign Ramon Vasquez and Amaury Cazana to AAA. Vasquez is a big surprise. He was supposed to be the new Nick Punto. Could Matt Carpenter make the team???

Mar. 17, 3:37 p.m. - Just remembered something Wainwright told me earlier. Getting dressed is easy with one arm...but the single most difficult part of the day for him is brushing his teeth.

Mar. 17, 2:27 p.m. -Jeff Luhnow tells me Carlos Martinez (top prospect) had his first game today and went 2 innings. 6 up...6 down. Hit 97 and was incredible.

Mar. 17, 1:15 p.m. -Westbrook looks like he's up in the zone a little too much. Hard to tell exactly based on the vantage point in the press box...and we'll find out for sure later. But that's what it looked like.

Mar. 17, 12:55 p.m. -Berkman playing very very well in right field so far. He's made some excellent plays that have kept runners from advancing. Such a crucial part of the team. Pitching and defense first...remember?

Mar. 17, 12:51 p.m. -But as long as Rasmus has those 2 week stretches of striking out a lot...he's going to be inconsistent. And it will hinder the team. You don't know what you're going to get sometimes.

Mar. 17, 12:49 p.m. -This is the thing about Colby. He is the best player in the world for a couple weeks and then struggles mightily for a couple. If he can cut down on that (not necessarily doing this all the time) he will be the star we've always envisioned.

Mar. 17, 12:47 p.m. -Rasmus homers for the second time in as many games. He's on one of those streaks. Save it for the season!

Mar. 17, 12:21 p.m. -As for the game...Matt Carpenter leads off and ropes an opposite field single off Josh Johnson. He keeps making an impression.

Mar. 17, 12:18 p.m. -Also...that bullpen session he hurt it in was as good as he's felt in a long time. He was in midseason form. Throwing what he wanted when he wanted. Was ready for the season that day. Says he was gonna be tough this season.

Mar. 17, 12:16 p.m. -Believes he can learn so much this year by watching. He's heard that is possible...learning more by watching than doing.
Mar. 17, 12:15 p.m. -Says the injury began in high school in 1998. Partially tore it. Then
again in AAA in 2004. So its going in 6 year increments.

Mar. 17,12:14 p.m. -Wainwright says he's accepted that he's out the whole year. He's gonna watch more baseball than anyone this season. More than Harold Reynolds.

Mar. 17, 12:12 p.m. -Ok....been working on Wainwright story all day and a lot to update on. He is in camp and so happy to see teammates. Has a brace on his arm that prevents him from rotating it "the bad way".

Mar. 17, 8:14 a.m. -Adam Wainwright back in camp. Got a brace on his right arm/elbow. He was here yesterday too and, apparently, got a standing ovation from his team and a lot of hugs.

Mar. 17, 8:07 a.m. -Cards lineup 3/17: Carpenter DH...Rasmus 8...Pujols 3...Holliday 7...Berkman 9...Freese 5...Descalso 4...Laird 2...Greene 6 (Westbrook pitching with Franklin, Augenstein and Trever Miller available)
