ST. LOUIS (KMOV) --- Delta Airlines canceled most flights to and from Lambert-St. Louis International Airport Monday evening, leaving almost 2,000 passengers stranded at Lambert Airport.
Delta Airlines says it ran out of de-icing fluid, and a new shipment would arrive Monday evening. However, as of Monday night, it is unclear if the de-icer actually made it in.
A Delta representative said over the phone that the airline did not schedule a shipment for de-icing fluid until it was too late, which grounded planes and passengers overnight.
Out-of-town passengers are being offered hotel and food vouchers. All travelers will be booked on flights Tuesday.
All other airlines are operating normally.
