An autopsy has been ordered by the coroner's office in an attempt to explain if Kovach suffered a medical event while behind the wheel of his truck. Kovach had suffered from diabetes and cardiac disease, which may have caused him to lose control of his vehicle and roll into the lake.

The autopsy conducted early Wednesday revealed preliminary findings that Kovach died as a result of drowning, but a final ruling will not be made until the pending completion of routine toxicology analysis for the presence of alcohol and drugs.

No further details are available at this moment.
