Number of registered voters increased following Brown shooting

ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – In the aftermath of the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson, Missouri, local politicians and activists have been urging citizens to exercise their right to vote and enact change in the St. Louis area.
Since Aug. 9, 260 people have registered to vote. Of those, 204 have met the deadline to be eligible to vote in Tuesday’s election.
The 204 new registrants brings the total number of registered voters in Ferguson, Missouri to 14,572 and 749,934 in the county.
