ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- The 2014 "Guns 'N Hoses" boxing benefit has been postponed.
The event, which pits firefighters against police in the ring, is run by Backstoppers, the organization that gives financial help to immediate family of emergency responders who die on duty.
The event usually happens the night before Thanksgiving, but won't happen because law enforcement resources will be thin due to the unrest in Ferguson. it is the first time the event has been postponed.
Organizers said they hope to re-schedule the event for some time in early 2015.
