ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- An officer with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department was injured while chasing a suspect in north St. Louis Monday afternoon.
Police said the officer, who was not identified, was chasing a suspect on foot when he suffered a cut to his leg. The officer was taken a local hospital for treatment.
This happened in the 4600 block of Sacramento at 2:45 Monday when officers were dispatched on a report of 3-4 suspicious people in the area. When one of the suspects ran, the officer was injured when he attempted to climb a fence.
One suspect was arrested by other officers, but the other suspects were able to get away, police said.
