WASHINGTON, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police are searching for two men who robbed an employee of a Washington, Missouri restaurant Monday morning.

An employee of Wimpy’s, located in the 500 block of Jefferson Street, was robbed around 6:10 a.m. while she was walking to her car. Police say the suspects pushed the woman to the ground and took her purse and a money bag with startup cash. The woman’s wallet fell from her purse as the men fled, according to police.

The woman sustained minor scrapes and bruises during the robbery.

"We live in a small community, it's usually safe, there is some crime but it's minor crime, nothing like this," said Wimpy's owner Shelley Vollmer.

The woman told police she believes she knows one of the suspects. Police are currently looking at other businesses for possible surveillance video.

Police say the suspects were wearing black coveralls and ski masks at the time of the robbery. Authorities believe the victim was targeted ahead of time.
