Money pours to Missouri races days before election

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Individuals and committees have donated more than $1.5 million during the last week before the Nov. 4 elections.
Campaign finance records show that at least 90 contributions were made between Oct. 27-31 as committees and candidates made a final push to voters.
The last-minute spending often goes to television ads and other media intended to reach voters before they hit the polls Tuesday.
The Missouri Democratic State Committee donated more than $191,500 during the week. Democrats are targeting select seats across the state in an attempt to chip away at Republicans' stronghold over the Legislature.
Two of the GOP's primary committees -- the Missouri Senate Campaign Committee and the House Republican Campaign Committee -- together donated more than $376,000.
