CHICAGO (AP) -- First lady Michelle Obama has rallied support for Gov. Pat Quinn and other Illinois Democrats, while Republican Bruce Rauner is telling voters it's time for a change.
Quinn and Rauner campaigned across the state Saturday in advance of Tuesday's election.
The (Moline) Dispatch reports Obama told a crowd of about 1,400 in Moline that backing Democrats would ensure children have a strong future. She called Quinn "a great friend and a great advocate."
Rauner made stops in Quincy, Lawrenceville, Carmi, Harrisburg and Marion. The events are part of a three-day statewide swing he's calling the "100 Years is Enough Tour."
Rauner says Illinois' top Democrats have served in Springfield for more than 100 years combined and it's time for a change in leadership.
