FERGUSON (KMOV.com) -- More than $4.5 million have been spent in response to the unrest in Ferguson.
Of the $4.5 million, $1 million went to the residents in the affected Ferguson area. The riots and looting prevented some people from going to work and stopped students in the area from going to school. It even kept some people from going outside.
Of the residents in the area, 375 households met criteria for this emergency money, receiving $800-$1000 each.
It's currently unclear if any more money will be allotted to residents after the Grand Jury announces their decision in the Mike Brown case.
