Suspects sought after armed robbery in Fairview Heights

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. (KMOV.com) --  The Fairview Heights Police Department is investigating after an armed robbery was reported Tuesday night.

Two juveniles told police they were walking in the 600 block of Joseph Drive around 8:00 p.m. when they were approached by two unknown men. The victims told police they were held at gunpoint while the suspects took $2.00 and a house key from them.

Before the robbery, one of the victims said he returned home and discovered it had been burglarized, police say.

One suspect is described as a black man, 18 to 20-years-old, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 and 150 to 160 pounds.  The victims told police the suspect was wearing a red jacket, shorts and red or black shoes.

The second suspect is described as a black man, 18 to 20-years-old, 5-foot-11 and 150 to 160 pounds.  Police say the suspect was wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt, blue or black jeans and calf high brown boots. The victims told police the suspect was holding a semi-automatic pistol at the time of the robbery.

No one was injured during the incident.
