ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – IKEA said it will begin hiring for its new store that will open in midtown St. Louis in fall, 2015.
The company announced it is launching recruitment for managers. Two senior management positions will be filled in 2014, with more opening up in the months ahead.
“Management positions will be posted up to the new year and then co-worker positions will be available sometime in the late spring,” said Joseph Roth with IKEA.
IKEA said it expects to hire most of its new employees in April or May of 2015. The company is looking for people to work in sales, interior decoration, maintenance, and food service. In total, around 300 positions will be added, some of which are part time. The company said employees who work more than 20 hours per week will be eligible for benefits. It also said it will calculate wages based on the conditions in St. Louis.
IKEA is asking those interested in applying to send their resumes to the St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment (SLATE). For more information, click here.
