CHICAGO (AP) -- A Chicago man suspected of stealing a semi-truck and wounding a cyclist in a hit-and-run is being held on $500,000 bond.
According to a police statement, 31-year-old Jason Popko is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and failure to report an accident involving an injury.
The incident happened on Oct. 7 in the McKinley Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side. A 47-year-old man on a bike was struck and hospitalized.
His bond hearing was Saturday.
It was not immediately clear if Popko already had an attorney.
