(KMOV.com) – Many motorists told News 4 they are concerned about a stretch of Highway 367, just south of Lindbergh Boulevard, they consider dangerous.
Drivers said there is not enough guardrail to stop motorists from sliding into a ditch. The concern comes after a woman was run of the road by speeders Sunday. The woman missed the guardrail before she slid down a hill into the ditch.
“When traffic is coming we’re all going north, the traffic coming doesn’t allow you to merge over to let you get into lanes because people are speeding,” said nearby resident Linda Reed.
Despite what drivers and nearby residents say, MoDOT insists the stretch of road is not dangerous. Over the past seven years, MoDOT said less than 30 accidents have occurred, most of which were weather related. However, the agency said it will keep a close eye on the road and make changes if necessary.
