FERGUSON, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A new store in Ferguson, Missouri is dedicated to those who love the city.
The store is located on South Florissant near the Ferguson Police Station which has been the scene of nightly protests in the last weeks.
"The narrative in a few years would be not the shooting death of Michael Brown, but how the community rebounded and resilience that we know we have and become a model community throughout the nation," said Brian Fletcher, I Love Ferguson chairman.
The store sells t-shirts, yard signs and more to raise money for businesses that were looted in the aftermath of the Aug. 9 shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown by Darren Wilson, a Ferguson Police Officer.
“The good side of Ferguson, it's the whole city of Ferguson is the good side. We can't say this side and this side, we have to be a whole. We are a whole. I love the whole city of Ferguson,” said Lizzie Lonero, lifelong Ferguson resident.
