ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – A man was killed during an early morning hit-and-run accident in North St. Louis Friday.

The accident occurred between two vehicles at Dr. MLK Drive near Whittier Street around 4:30 a.m.

Police say 65-year-old William Brown, of the 2500 block of Whittier, was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

Authorities say Brown was traveling southbound on Whittier when a white Chevy Impala struck the driver’s side of his car. Brown was ejected from the vehicle, which then rolled on top of him.

Police say the driver of a Chevy Impala left the scene of the accident. The vehicle was recovered in the 4500 block of Ashland and two men were seen running from the car, according to police.

Police are searching for the suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
