WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Crews are working overnight to repair a broken water main break in Webster Groves.
Missouri American Water said an eight inch pipe under the intersection of Summit Avenue and Marshall is the cause of the break. Thus far, one home has water damage in the basement, and residents said water was flowing down the street for at least one hour.
“It was scary because the street was buckling and there were people walking and driving around there,” said a resident.
Missouri American Water said the break should be repaired by Friday morning, but the trolley tracks underneath may postpone the repair.
