Cars stolen from Ill. dealership, 1 arrest made after chase

O’FALLON, Ill. (KMOV.com) – An overnight car chase, involving four stolen cars from a car dealership in Nashville, Illinois, ended when one suspect jumped a fence at an O’Fallon, Illinois dealership and hid in the back of an SUV.
The cars - two Dodge Challengers, a Mustang and a Ford Focus - were taken from Holzhauer Auto in Nashville and driven nearly 50 miles along Interstate 64 to O’Fallon, Illinois. According to police, the suspects rammed the gate of the dealership with the stolen vehicles.
Police say one suspect was driving the stolen Challenger down the interstate when he stopped the car, hopped a fence and hid inside an SUV at Jack Schmitt Chevrolet in O’Fallon.
Roughly 11 agencies responded to the scene where they found the suspect in the back of the SUV, he is now in police custody.
Police say one of the other stolen cars stopped in New Baden and has not yet been found. The Mustang, was last seen going over the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge. The other suspects and stolen vehicles have not been located by authorities. Both the re Mustang and White Focus should have dealership plates. If you spot the vehicles, call police.
