Sewage spilling into creek in Chesterfield after sewer main break

(KMOV.com) – MSD said it trying to repair a sewer main that is leaking sewage into a creek that flows into the Missouri River.
MSD said the main is located just west of where Cordovan Commons Parkway becomes Howard Bend Station Road in Chesterfield. MSD said the sewage is draining into a creek that flows into the Missouri River. It is unclear how much sewage has made its way into the river.
MSD said there is no threat to public health or safety, but is unclear when the break is fixed. It said it is shutting down nearby pump stations.
